Presidents Welcomed for 2021 Season.

WAFC Demons District staff in partnership with the Metro Central RDC board collaborated on a Presidents Induction night earlier this week.

Over 25 new and existing Junior Club Presidents attended the event, which was held at the Perth Football Club on Tuesday, 16th February.

The President Induction night was a concept initiated by the RDC, as a result of 12 new Presidents joining the Conference in 2021.

District staff were on hand to present a number of key topics related Community Engagement, Club Development and Competitions. Clubs were briefed on the updated Community Football staffing structure, which featured the inclusions of the District Development Officers to the team in 2021.

The event featured a keynote address delivered by RDC Community Representative Rob Geersen. Rob’s key message on the night was for Presidents to embrace their communities, understand the important role they have in shaping peoples lives, and always seeing the bigger picture when it comes to dealing with internal and external club issues.

WAFC Community and Club Development Manager Corey Ranger said “We’re delighted with the turn out for the first community club event for 2021. Mr. Ranger went on to say “With so many new Presidents joining us in 2021, the event was a great way to introduce ourselves and help guide and support volunteers into having positive seasons”

Attention now turns to the first round of District Junior Club meetings scheduled for Monday, 22nd February at Lynwood-Ferndale JFC.
