2012 ROBERT WILEY FOUNDATION 16's DEVELOPMENT SQUAD 

 

Congratulations to this year's 16's development squad players who recently competed in the 16's WAFL Carnival.

The players commited themselves fully to the program & should be very proud of their efforts at training & during the carnival games. The Perth squad finished with a 3 win/3 loss ratio for the carnival with wins over Subiaco, Claremont & West Perth, & losses to South Fremantle, Peel & East Perth.

The 16's squad was very competitive in all these games with their intensity, commitment to the Perth FC game structures & willingness to compete until the final siren being clear highlights. Thanks to all squad members & their families for the massive commitment they gave to the Robert Wiley Foundation 16's program in 2012.

The Robert Wiley Foundation & Perth Football Club congratulates Clem Smith from Thornlie JFC & Hayden Tanner from Gosnells JFC for being selected in the WA State 16's squad for 2012. They thoroughly deserved their selection & we wish them well during the carnival.

Congratulations to our coaching staff of Bruce Fraser, Mat Bateman, Andrew Panetta, Mick Hanley & Sam Mainwaring. The program was very well organised & structured, & the coaches showed wonderful commitment to the players & Perth Football Club in the way they went about developing this young group of players.

Thanks also to Matt Riley (Trainer), Justin Sambell (Team Manager), Stu Bartels & Paul Clements (Runners) for the important roles they played with these year's 16's squad.

The Robert Wiley Foundation Dinner will be held on Friday, June 22 at Brownes Satdium & this event will feature the 16's squad award presentations. Further information regarding the Dinner will be provided very soon.
