COACHING COURSE

Registration for AFL 2012 Level 2 Coaching Accreditation is now open.
Key note presenters include highly acclaimed AFL ambassadors, WAFL League coaches and State Academy Coaches.

To register for the Level 2 Course coaches must ensure they are demonstrating the appropriate coaching attitudes, behaviours and skills. The competencies expected of a Level 2 coach clearly reflect the ability to plan, prepare, conduct, review and adapt training and match programs in the context of a yearly plan.
COURSE PREREQUISITES
- Must be coaching at Youth (13-17yr ) or Senior (18+) level in season 2012
- Coaches at the Auskick level (5-8 yr) or Junior Rules (9-12yr) are not eligible
- Coaches to have completed Level 1 Youth or Senior Course
- Necessary to have been coaching for a minimum of 3 years
- Signed endorsement of enrolment form is required from your local WAFC Regional or Metro Development Staff.
The program includes practical sessions and formal presentations from experts in their fields. Organised by the WA Football Commission High Performance department, the course will commence with a two day workshop at Subiaco Oval, followed by a WAFL Tactical Game Analysis session, training feedback and match day observations. Throughout the 2012 season coaches will be asked to keep a coaches diary and attend professional development seminars conducted by the Australian Football Coaching Association (AFCA).
The course cost is $220 and places are limited.
